Raghav Dembla is a Senior Associate at KNM & Partners, with a primary focus on Restructuring, Insolvency and Debt Recovery litigation. He commenced his legal practice in 2020, after completing his B.A. LL.B. from Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, and has since been actively involved in handling high-stakes legal matters across multiple jurisdictions and forums.

Raghav has extensive experience in representing Financial Creditors, Operational Creditors, Corporate debtors, and Insolvency Professionals across all stages of proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Apart from providing legal counsel in the Insolvency space, Raghav has also represented clients in complex oppression & mismanagement litigations.

He regularly appears before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT).

Key Experience

  • Represented Resolution Professionals in two different Corporate Insolvency Resolution Processes (CIRP) relating to a Real Estate Project, ensuring approval of the Resolution Plan by the Hon’ble NCLT.
  • Successfully defended a financial service provider in proceedings under Section 213 of the Companies Act, 2013, seeking initiation of an investigation into the Company.
  • Represented the Successful Resolution Applicant in proceedings before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India involving a complex question of law concerning the treatment of landowning rights in CIRP of Developer Companies.
  • Represented Personal Guarantors in proceedings before the Hon’ble NCLT.
  • Frequently represents Borrowers and Guarantors in proceedings before the Hon’ble DRT.
  • Represented and secured Interim Relief from Hon’ble NCLAT for Real Estate Developers in proceedings under the Competition Act, 2002, concerning abuse of dominant position by Statutory bodies, in Haryana.
